Fasting cake with apples

It took:

We put the flour in a bowl, and in the middle we put the rest of the ingredients: margarine cut into pieces, water, wine, sugar, baking powder, essence and salt powder.

Mix all the ingredients and knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands (if you find it too sticky or dry, add a little more flour or a little water).

Wrap the dough in cling film and put it in the freezer for approx. 30 minutes and another 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Filling:

We wash the apples, peel them and grate them.

We put them in a bowl, we mix them with sugar to taste and the 3 tablespoons of oil.

Put the pot on low heat for a few minutes until the apples soften and heat a little. We mix from time to time in the composition. Put the pot on the fire until the composition cools, then put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Take the dough out of the fridge and divide it into 2 equal pieces.

On the floured table we spread 2 thin sheets of dough.

We line the tray with baking paper and put the first sheet of dough that we prick from place to place with a fork. To make it easier for us to take the sheet off the table, we roll it carefully on the twister, then we roll it lightly in the tray.

Place the well drained apples over the dough in the tray. Cover with the second sheet of dough that you prick with a fork, then grease the dough with honey dissolved in a little water and sprinkle with ground walnuts.

Put the tray in the preheated oven on the right heat and leave it for approx. 40-45 minutes. Also check with a toothpick if the cake is ready.

Leave to cool, then portion and serve.

Does the countertop come out hard or soft?

It's hard to give a clear answer to this question :) But, if I have to choose, I can say that the top of this apple cake comes out rather soft (but not fluffy!).

I don't think the cake would come out due to the dough being too hard (meaning that it would have put too much flour in it). I rather suspect the baking powder used (either it has expired or has been damp and thus has lost its properties).

Hellooo! :) Of course there is a secret to keep apples light in color, but I did not mention it in the recipe because I thought that the color of the filling does not matter, being an unpretentious apple cake.
Grated apples oxidize, so we should sprinkle them with a little lemon juice to keep their color and / or use them immediately, not shave them long before putting them to quality. Then, from what I have the impression, the variety of apples used might also matter. I read somewhere that apples should not even be given on a metal grater (obviously mine is metal).
Anyway, I didn't sprinkle the grated apples with lemon juice, I just put them in the oven as soon as I shaved them (and maybe I was a little lucky :)).

1 sachet of vanilla
8 suitable apples
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 sachet of vanilla sugar

Grate the apples and put them in a saucepan together with the sugar (3 tablespoons).

Bring to the boil until the juice decreases then add the vanilla and cinnamon.

Mix well and let it cool completely.

In a bowl add: milk, eggs, oil, sugar, vanilla sugar and baking powder quenched in lemon juice.

Mix until the sugar dissolves and the composition has a homogeneous appearance. Add flour and mix gently until incorporated.

Mix until you get a composition without agglomerations.

1/2 of the formed composition is poured into a tray lined with baking paper. Place in the preheated oven at 180C and bake for about 8-10 minutes.

When the foil is baked, remove the tray from the oven and add the apple filling.

Spread the filling in an even layer then pour the rest of the composition for the sheets.

Put back in the oven - for 30-35 min.

When the cake turns a slightly golden color, take it out of the oven and let it cool completely.

Hello my dears! Today we are talking about the Lenten Apple Cake recipe, a simple recipe, ideal for those who fast and more. Not having the classic ingredients (eggs, milk), we could say that it works well for people who follow diets or diets. Apple lovers will of course be delighted by this wonderful cake, which I am sure will not have time to cool down, as happened in my family. Because who doesn't love apples, doesn't apples like that or who doesn't like the combination of apples, lemon and cinnamon?

We all like apples, be they red, yellow or green, they are loved and consumed by all of us. He says a proverb, an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but especially diseases aside. And that's because they are a rich source of vitamin A and C, but they also have smaller amounts of phosphorus, iron and calcium. They are a good source of potassium so necessary for heart health. They contain pectin, which is a reliable ally in lowering cholesterol levels. Moreover, very importantly, many researchers have found that consuming 5 apples a week significantly reduces the risk of bronchitis and asthma. Apples help maintain a harmonious heart, quench thirst and lubricate the lungs.

Apples also help us in the fight against extra pounds and I do not say that the consumption of one apple a day significantly reduces the development of skin diseases. An apple contains between 50 and 80 calories and 0 fat. In my family it is never missing from the fruit basket, it is eaten either raw or baked with walnuts. Not to mention the multitude of recipes I take care to pamper my family with, such as Whipped Apple and Walnut Pie, Peasant Apple Pie, Apple Puff Pastry Roses, Quince and Apple Marmalade, Apple and Roasted Cake with Apples.

Today I recommend a quick and delicious apple cake. A simple and cheap fasting dessert!

Preparation instructions

Cut the butter into cubes and place in a bowl, over a bowl of hot water (a few moments).

Add sugar, vanilla, salt and mineral water then mix for about 2-3 minutes.

Gradually add the flour mixed with baking powder and mix until you get a suitable dough.

Put for 30 minutes in the cold, covered with cling film.

Washed apples, peel them and grate them. Mix with sugar and diced margarine then cook for 5-8 minutes. Add cinnamon, semolina and mix. Allow to cool completely.

The dough is divided into two parts. The first part is spread in a sheet with a thickness of about 1 cm and placed in a tray lined with baking paper. Prick with a fork on the entire surface.

Add the apple filling and spread in an even layer.

Spread the second part of the dough in a sheet about 1 cm thick. The obtained sheet is easily placed on the entire surface of the cake and is pricked with a fork, from place to place.

Place in the oven heated to 180 C and bake for about 25-30 minutes, until golden.

Allow to cool completely, powder with vanilla flour and portion as desired.


Apple and almond cake

ingredients:

A large cup of grated apples
A cup of wholemeal flour
A cup of sugar
Half a cup of oil
Half an envelope of baking powder
A cup of crushed almonds
Cinnamon
Two sachets of vanilla sugar

Method of preparation:

In a large bowl, mix almost all the ingredients: grated apples, cinnamon, flour and baking powder, plain and vanilla sugar, plus oil. The composition should be the consistency of a more viscous cream.

Place the dough in a pan greased with margarine. Sprinkle with almonds on top. Leave cake with Apple bake for 35 minutes. Voila! You prepared it recipe of cake with apples delicious!
